UNBELEIVEABLE.

I absolutely cannot believe it is nearly the end of September! The trees are starting to turn yellow and gold and leaves falling down like snow. It sure is a pretty time of year!

This past weekend started on Thursday afternoon with a trip to Sweet Tomatoes as [info]count_gregula had a coupon for a free meal with purchase for his birthday. Afterwards we went downtown to the AMC River East to see a free sneak preview of "Pandorum" which was actually very good. Not to mention that parking across the street from the theatre was only EIGHT bucks with theatre validation...sweeeeeeeeet!!

Then on Friday we went to Wishbone in Berwyn (BERRRRRWYN!) for the inaugural celebration of Count Gregula's BirfdayPalooza 2009 Week! The food was good, the drinks were delicious and our waiter Bruce was awesome as always!

Saturday was teh suck cos I had to work at the Jewelz 10:30-6:30, but it was my last day before my week's vacation and now it's all good!

I can't remember what we did on Sunday, I'm sure it was fun but sheesh...

Monday was a Whole Foods day with a viewing of "Sorority Row" in the evening followed by the ending of "Inglourious Basterds" cos we weren't ready to go home afterwards lol. Sorority Row was not bad but it does have a twisted ending which slightly annoyed me but oh well :).

Today (now yesterday) we went to eat at Capn Nemo's, purchased Bday gifts for the mister and went to White Fence Farm to eat fried chicken with Mother Gregula and Rey. They have a petting zoo with....chickens! Kinda weird and creepy as we pictured them being on our plates afterwards *waits for the PETA crowd to assault me* lol.

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!

Count Gregula's Crypt
This has been a very productive and busy weekend!

Thursday nite I had to work 4-8 so we went to Whole Foods for breakfast and had their breakfast burritos which are very tasty and filling. They were full of potatoes, eggs, cheese, veggies and salsa. Not sure if it is the healthiest option but it's prolly better than eating at McNasty's. After work we had considered going to see a movie but all the movies on the Five Buck Club were films we had either seen or didn't want to be bothered with.

Friday I had to take [info]count_gregula to Burnham, IL because he had been asked to play "Biker #2" in a friend's movie Masters Devils. The filming location was this hole-in-the-wall bar in a slightly creepy area (which was PERFECT for the movie btw) called Tally Ho. I dropped him off and drove back to the city in horrific traffic. When I finally got back to the city I went to D'Agostino's to meet up with my former workmates from Southport to eat pizza which was a good time. BTW even tho I am getting attached to my new store, I still miss them all, espcially Miguel and Marygene. I sure hope I can go with them for pizza again soon but Greg doesn't like to eat pizza cos it's not healthy so I gotta do it when he is doing other things ;).

Saturday I needed to take him back for more filming and this time I would stick around. But first we needed to eat so we went to the Lincoln Park Whole Foods to get dinner off the hot deli bar and I had a small piece of tamale pie and something called king ranch casserole off the Mexican favorites dishes. Then we went to the bar where Greg filmed his part and we watched the devil girls film as well. Some kid came into the bar to buy candy and when he opened the door and saw those devil girls his eyes nearly fell out of his head! It was totally a LOLtastic moment! Afterwards we went to the casino and Greg won $8 on the Munsters slots :).

Sunday I had to work so we bascially stayed in and relaxed til I had to leave the house, ate some food from Big Boy Gyros.

Monday (yesterday) I had off so I took G. to the fitness centre and afterwards we went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner. We decided to check to see if any of the Halloween stores were open yet so we went to Village Crossing in Skokie to check out the Spirit store. We were glad it was open this time and were excited to visit the FIRST Halloween store of the season! The decor was a bit disappointing, entry looked a tad empty but I have a feeling that it is not quite finished yet. They had some cool merchandise, including a Rob Zombie's Michael Meyers life-size animated figure that G. is currently lusting after. Where the hell are we gonna put something like that in our 3-room condo? LOL. The salesperson kept following us and asking if we needed any help which was annoying but I figured he must have been bored as it seemed like a slow day there. We were gonna browse the Halloween USA store across the parking lot but it closed at 8 pm, same time as Spirit. Oh well we got our Halloween fix and we will probably go back either tomorrow or Thursday when I get off work :D.

Time goes by soooo fast these days.

Wow! I can't believe it is already the end of the 2nd week of September! Where the heck did Summer go??? At least I don't have to return to school, only work for me. Our vacation will be coming up in a couple weeks, this will be our first week off straight together :D. Now we just gotta figure out someplace fun (and cheap) to go.

Last weekend was pretty good, went to see "District 9" on Thursday nite after a yummy meal at Sweet Tomatoes. On Friday we went to Buffalo Grove Days and sampled some smoothies from this new restaurant called Froots which were awesome. I was disappointed that there wasn't any Froots locations closer to our home but I did find out on Monday at the Taste of Polonia that there will be one in Lincoln Park hopefully by the end of the year...yay!

Taste of Polonia was fun but would have been funner if we didn't get sunburned =|. We ate some yummy Polish food and watched Rick "Elvis" Saucedo in his annual Labor Day concert. We also scored quite a bit of freebies including three boxes of Special K 90 calorie crackers in Italian Herb and Tomato flavor. Very yum!

More about the past few days coming up in the next post so stay tuned!

It's Thursday! YAY!!!

Woohoo! The mister and I are off work for the next two days :D. I am not really sure what we are going to do today, we were originally gonna go to Kiddieland Amusement Park in Melrose Park but Greg got tired and I had some things that needed to get done around the house *cough*laundry*cough*. I'm sure we will do something fun, even if it is just to go see a movie at the Golf Mill or City North tonite.

Yesterday was kind of a poo day, started out ok with breakfast at McNasty's where I got a free Egg McMuffin with the coupon as long as I bought a medium Iced Mocha which btw RULES. Then we went to Whole Foods in Lincoln Park and had salad bar, which was yum but EXPENSIVE lol. Since I had to go to work at 3:30, I let them drop me off at home so I could wash my work shirt and get ready. However, my stupid shirt didn't dry on time because the dryer was acting funny (luckily it worked fine today) and I had to go to work with a soaking wet shirt. Of COURSE it got noticed as soon as I walked in and my assistant FEM was having none of that because he didn't want me to get sick in the a/c. So he loaned me one of his khaki shirts so I got to impersonate management last nite, LOL.

I was hoping to go out to eat afterwards but they had already eaten after seeing "GI Joe" at the movies so I got some of Greg and Rey's leftovers and ate that while they wen to Dunkin Donuts to get a drink. Luckily it was pretty tasty. Good thing for them LOL :p.

OK it's 3 pm now and I better think about getting the mister up and deciding what the eff we are gonna do today. Or at least get food.

The weekend and beyond.

The rest of the weekend was pretty good :). On Saturday we went to Pierogi Fest in Whiting, IN. That was actually a lot of fun :D. We started out at the Traveler's Insurance kiosk to get free custom printed t-shirts with whatever was important to us. I had "my count" printed on mine and Greg had "my countess" printed on his :D. Afterwards we went in search of yummy Polish food cos we were hungry and we got a platter full of kielbasa and kraut, haluski and 3 pierogi (cheese). It was so yummy and fattening, drowning in butter *homer drool*! Greg also won $25 in Bingo so it was a productive day for us :).

Afterwards it was a stop at the Lincoln Park Whole Foods and off to work for G.

Sunday I had to work and yesterday we went to Sweet Tomatoes becos I had found a BOGO coupon in my email :D. Got to have my fave cream of mushroom soup, yay! Afterwards we went to Golf Mill to see "Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs", which was hilarious and my favorite of the three.

Not sure what is on tap for today, but I need to get my hair cut so I can look nice for the big Yelp Chicago Summerfest party. Oh, and food would be nice right about now :p.
Bat
So when I last left you guys here on Friday, Greg and I were wondering what we should do that evening. I had checked out the Suburban Festvial Guide that I had a copy of and discovered that there was a Greek festival in Niles, yay! So off we went and when we got there they gave us a little sample of a Greek grape wine, it was yum! For our dinner we had Athenian chicken and souvlaki which were both very good. Unfortunately it was colder out than I would have liked and I actually had worn only shorts and a t-shirt becos I didn't even know it was so chilly :|. Afterwards we went to the movies and seen Transformers a 2nd time becos we had seen all the other films that were on the Five Buck Club and that was G's choice lol.

Saturday we went to brekkie at McNasty's then went to the Kane County Fair with Mother G and Rey. I wore my new shirt that I got from the Lincoln Park Zoo the other day, but it was so darn cold I had to wear my Yelp hoodie over it. Oh well at least Greg and the family got to see it :p. We had fun looking at the commercial exhibits, the 4-H entries and saw The Buckinghams perform :). Fair food was consumed including a corn dog for me, yum!

Sunday I had to go to work 12-7 on SCOT duty, omg it was so busy I was exhausted by the end! Every five seconds it's "can you come here?" ahhhh!!! After work we originally intended to go back to the Greek Fest but I think all of Niles must have been there because we couldn't find a parking spot to save our lives. So we ended up at our old standby Pita Inn for dinner.

Yesterday I had to work 2:30-7:30 and we had Apple Bourbon Pork Chops for dinner that I had in the freezer since the Southport Jewel closed. Dinner had ended up only costing me about 3 bucks cos the pork chops only cost me 50 cents with all the clearance discounts I had gotten back then, yay!

Thank you [info]el_jefe59, now I'm craving Mexican food, lol.

Gah! I ate some wings at Wingstop yesterday that had enough garlic on them to kill a vampire! But My Count and I looooove the garlic parmesan wings, they are our new crack! Maybe we can find an anti-garlic vaccine or something???

But I can still taste the garlic today! And it's giving me a tummy ache. THEY ARE WORTH IT THO.

I worked last night and I think it was random drunk weirdo night at Jewel :p. My personal favorite was the dude who tried to ask me for tips on how to purchase liquor without being carded. Truly a WTF??? moment! And a shit-ton of folks were buying booze so when I was running self-checkout I felt like a damn yo-yo lol.

But I do loves my job, it makes me feel useful :). And I'm practically in the service desk now lol becos its the SCOT attendant's duty to take care of office things like Coinstar refunds and lottery ticket winnings when there is no service desk clerk around. I'm such a big shot ;).

After I got off work, I had to take G. to work downtown. First warm weekend in ages made traffic annoying last night, but I managed to get him to work in just 15 minutes :O. I freakin amaze myself with my awesome driving skillz!

Not sure what is going on today...all depends on if the mister is willing to wake up soon. We might go to the Maifest in Lincoln Square and get a bratwurst or go to Sweet Tomatoes in Glenview for a quick lunch.

Nope, I'm not dead yet!

It's been too damn busy and I've been too damn tired to update. But I just wanted to tell y'all that I'm still here :D.

I've been trying my damndest to get my shit together and straighten up this house with little to no results, laundry keeps piling up in literal mountains! And the allure of Yelp Chicago and Family Guy clips on YouTube isn't helping much. AAAAARGH!

Speaking of Family Guy, here is the funniest effing thing I have ever seen, love it even more becos Peter's costume looks almost like my [info]count_gregula's! Except Greg isn't fat ;).

Well I got lots more to write but I'm pretty hungry now so I wanna try and talk Greg into getting me dinner later on at Wing Stop aka the best freakin wings on the planet! I want those Garlic Parmesan wings to be my third husband - Mrs. Linda Garlic Parmesan Wings!

Weekend.

We saw Star Trek at Golf Mill Thursday and Star Trek + hot guys = yum! LOL! It was actually a pretty good movie, even tho it didn't get the greatest reviews.

We basically spent the whole day out, went to lunch with a friend of Mother G and Rey's from church and he was awesome enough to pay for all of us :D. We also went to Resurrection Cemetery because the friend wanted to visit several friends and relatives. There was this cool mausoleum that must have been decorated in the late 60s early 70s cos the furniture and even bathroom fixtures screamed vintage.

Yesterday there was an Office Hours event sponsored by Yelp Chicago where we got free sammiches from this place dcwntown, Lunch Rolls. The sammiches were very yum! Greg had the Isareli Lamb w/Couscous and I had the Cajun Shrimp Jambalaya. Too bad this place is deep in the heart of the Loop as parking is difficult to non-existant, so unless we are downtown for some reason we won't be going there very much. Since I couldn't go in to the place becos of the parking, we took our food to go and went to the lake to eat our food. It was kinda neat to sit in the car watching the world go by as it poured rain. We also went to a friend's art gallery for a gala opening and G. scored a copy of The Addams Family Halloween Special from 1977 and Saturday Night Live Halloween Special on VHS from our friend's collection that he has for sale in his store. Went out with some of the artists at a local bar afterwards and had a blast watching everyone do bad kareoke.

Not sure what's going on for today.

Weekends, they come and go.

Thursday I had to work 5-9, yippee. Beforehand, Greg wanted to go out to Wingstop for yummy garlic parmesan and lemon pepper wings *homerdrool* so we called Mother G. and Rey to see if they wanted to go. They agreed to pick us up in the new Aveo and we had our dinner there (they had eaten beforehand but still went with us). Afterwards I had to go to work so I picked up my work shirt that I had stuck in our car and they dropped me off. Greg had spent the rest of the afternoon with them as I had the house keys and he hadn't planned to go home anyways. When work was over, they all picked me up from the store and we went to the Kerasotes on Western Ave. so that we could see the 9:45 showing of Knowing, which turned out to be a very interesting but kinda disturbing movie. End of the world shit freaks me out a lil bit, but hopefully it will happen after I'm long dead heh.

I honestly don't remember a whole lot of what we did on Friday. I am pretty sure that I took Greg to the fitness centre to work out and we went to eat somewhere. Oh yeah! We went to White Fence Farm and had some yummy fried chicken using the $5.00 off coupon that I had gotten for my b-day :). It was SO GOOD I was sad when dinner was over lol. We went to Harrah's Casino in downtown Joliet where we lost about $47 and listened to some live music. Watching a bunch of typical casino-goers dancing to 70s-80s-90s music was highly amusing, yet I had to resist getting up and shaking my booty ;).

We didn't get home until sometime in the wee hours of Saturday morning so as soon as we DID get home, we both went to bed. Unfortunately I had to get up and be at work for 2-6 so I didn't get as much rest as I would have liked :p.

On Sunday we decided to go to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch to use up our buy one get one free coupon and it was yum! Too bad I had to be at sucky work at 4-10. That kinda put the damper on things but at least there was no Cubs game that nite so I was able to get home easy-peasy.

Hot Damn! With a jillion-and-one things going on in my life these days, I haven't had ANY time for the LJ. Yay BirfdayPalooza, taxes, insurance, Yelp and being sick :p.

BirfdayPalooza 2009 in a nutshell: Went to the Triton Troupers Circus at Triton College on 4/3. It was a lot of fun and we loved the acrobats and clowns! Then on 4/7, which was the big day I got my driver's license renewed and the girl at the DMV wished me happy birthday lol. Then later in the afternoon we went to eat at Goose Island where I enjoyed a buffalo chicken sandwich and got a free piece of chocolate cake. The place had been remodeled since we had been there last in February for Mother G's bday and at first I thought we were gonna have to sit in the crappy bar section but the waitress let us sit in the sunny section where all the booths had been moved to. Rey joined us after he got off of work and had some of Mother G's leftovers (he missed the cake lol). We decided to go to the casino, but not before my [info]count_gregula got me my bday presents :). He got me Tropic Thunder on DVD, a card and a really pretty bouquet of reddish pink tulips. I have to say the flowere were my fave, I love flowers! And I love my boo! Went to Majestic Star to complete the old lady experience and we stood in line to get me a new casino card. The lady there also wished me happy birthday :D. We didn't win anything but Rey won a lot of money on the penny slots so we made him buy us some chicken wings for dinner bwahahahaha.

That Friday 4/10 we went to a Yelp Elite party at some douchey nightclub. The party was fun but the venue was meh. Especially when the promised afterparty got the kibosh from those a-holes :p. I still had a good time with my friends and that is what counts, and it was great to see Ron and Angie again and meet Ron's brother Bob.

This past weekend we went to see The Haunting in Connectcut which was VERY good and went to another much BETTER Elite party in Elmhurst at Wine & Vine. There was a ton of food there, including a pasta station, fruit and cheese. Oh and there was WINE too ;). Greg even won a free bottle of wine in the raffle and we will be getting another free bottle next time we come for dinner...can't wait for that!

We also sorted out the auto insurance ordeal a couple of days ago. I was ascared that we wouldn't have car insurance because in my infinite wisdom (ok - LAZINESS) I hadn't got around to getting a quote or renewing the insurance we had. So Tuesday was spent on the phone with our new insurance agent Tushar Vyas from Liberty Mutual and he got us a quote which was a tiny bit higher than our old company but with MUCH better coverage. We gots a new insurance company...yay! I liked that he was very prompt in getting back to us and even sent our documents via email so we could print and go. What a relief to be legal again, cos I was scared of being caught by a cop and having to go through the horrors of January/February 2005 all over again.

*Passion of the Peeps*

Speaking of Peeps...yesterday at work, CJ and I started a survey among the customers about whether Peeps were better stale or fresh. We both agreed that stale was better and so far the customers surveyed were 4-0 in favor of stale, crunchy delicious Peeps! Hurray!

Jeebus Creestos, I can't believe it's Easter already! I'm just grateful that there isn't rain or snow outside today. Yeah I hear you all going "shhhhhh don't jinx it" but hey - let a girl be happy! I am pretty sure that we are still going to eat at What's Cookin? for Easter Dinner with Mother G. Unfortunately Rey will not be joining us because his jerk manager switched his Sunday schedule AGAIN from 8-2 to 11-7. I wish Rey could work at our store, my awesome manager is 1000000000 times better!

Well anyhoo, I hope that you all have a wonderful and safe Easter Day, don't eat too much chocolate because you have to save some for me! If you don't celebrate, have a great Sunday!

Weekends and Movie Watching - Part 1

Got a lot to catch up on since the past couple weekends were pretty darned busy!

Thursday the 11th I was actually OFF for a change. They tried to call me in to work but I didn't bother answering the phone, no way jose was I going in after working five straight days and giving up my Saturday morning off to pick up an extra shift. We ate at Pita Inn, then went to Golf Mill to see Watchmen, which turned out to be way better than the trailers led me to believe. Acutally it was the BEST FREAKING MOVIE EVER and if you haven't seen it yet you need to SEE IT NOW. Afterwards we did the usual Thursday nitecap at Golden Apple.

The next day was Friday the 13th and to celebrate, Greg and I went back to Golf Mill to see the remake of Last House on the Left. We wanted Mother Gregula and Rey to watch with us but Rey didn't want to see a scary movie *waaah :p* so they saw Return to Witch Mountain. The movie was pretty good but I think that Watchmen was a lot more violent and gory in my opinion ;). Afterwards we went to eat at a TGI Fridays because we had BOGO free entree coupons, yay free food!

The rest of the weekend was a mix of work and going out to eat. And Mother G. and Rey got a new car and gave us a ride to go eat at What's Cooking!

Thursday.

Was pretty decent, even tho it rained like a mofo for most of the day.

We went to eat a late lunch at Cap'n Nemo's where G. had the lentil soup and I had the chili combo meal with cornbread and a medium drink. Holy shit, I love their turkey chili! We kept ourselves entertained with copies of The Onion and the Chicago Reader while we ate. Afterwards we stopped at Jewel to pick up and deposit my paycheck, as well as exchange a uniform for the right style (was given a men's by accident). I will have to wait on the uniform til Saturday cos the assistant store director was in the middle of something, no biggie. A trip to Dollar Tree was made to get a few personal items and then on to the Yelp Elite party.

The Elite party was pretty nice, much lower key than the last two we attended (Yelpoween and the Holiday Bash) which was pretty refreshing. Food was good, there was cuttlefish with noodles which G. didn't care for but I kinda liked...had a shrimpy flavor. There was also a prawn on endive appetizer which was ok and pad thai noodles and what I referred to as a "deconstructed" crab rangoon as instead of the wonton being stuffed with the crab mixture, it was seperate and we used the wontons to dip it in. Kinda tasty. Better food was actually a floor below (there were three floors) and we both enjoyed the roast beef and turkey paninis. Booze was tasty! Barefoot Wines was there with "MARScato" cocktails which was a tasty combo of fruit juice, moscato wine and champange. There were also Monster energy drinks of all flavors and the bartenders were mixing them with cherry schnapps or Rain vodka *yum*. I never understood the concept of mixing booze with energy drinks, makes you tired yet jittery and alert but it was worth it :D. Cinnamon whiskey shots were had too, and we got to keep the shot glasses, hurray! We ended the night at Golden Apple and hung out with Bridget and the gang for a bit and had some soup.

I better go wakey wake G. for more fun and good times tonite. It is a choice between "Slumdog Millionaire" or "Coraline" for our Five Buck Club movie. I want to see Coraline but G. wants to see Slumdog just to find out what the big effing deal is about it.

Should I stay or should I go now?

So...it's 12:45p CST and the mister and I are in need of food. Should I wake him up to go Pita Inn or should we just stay home and eat?

I have to be at work at 4 and Pita Inn is 20 minutes away :p.
Bat
The weekend started Thursday with a field trip to Sweet Tomatoes as I had a coupon for BOGO free that was about to expire. Holy shiznit it was tasty too! We had the BEST baked sweet potatoes with a pineapple-marshmallow whip topping that made it taste better than any dessert I have ever eaten. There were a lot of potato based soups as it was potato month so I had some chowder and a tomato stew which was really tasty and filling.

After lunch was work, but I only had a short shift (3-7) so it felt like I wasn't even there teehee! And it was so sloooooow, they had me putting away overstock for the first two hours. By the time I was done it was time for break :D.

After work, we went to get a quick snack at Pita Inn and went to see Paul Blart:Mall Cop at Golf Mill. I honestly have to say I was very disappointed as I was expecting a goofy comedy and what we got was a dull combination of action flick with romantic comedy. G. and I both ended up dozing off, it was so boring. We actually woke ourselves up when our heads knocked together because we had fallen asleep :p. Perhaps we should have shelled out the extra money and went to the midnight showing of Friday the 13th, oh well.

Friday the 13th was a sad anniversary for us as it marked the 5th anniversary of the passing of Daddy Gregula :(. Greg and I also decided to take in a twilight matinee showing of the new Friday the 13th movie and I would honestly say I had laughed more than I did the night before when we went to see Paul Blart. For some reason horror movies these days give me the giggles, weirdness lol. Afterwards we met up with Mother Gregula and Rey at Dapper's East for dinner and G. and I each had a yummy chicken kabob.

Sunday the 15th was spent relaxing at home, then I worked 6-10.

My Valentine's Day was pretty good :).

It started out at 12:00 am midnight on the morning of the 14th with kisses and the exchange of gifts. Greg gave me a teddy bear holding a heart and chocolates and I gave him a set of champange flutes and a bottle of sparkling wine :).

Went to sleep and the next morning was spent watching TV and having "quality time" ;-). Thought about plans for dinner and we both agreed that we didn't want to do a stuffy fancy schamncy Valentine's dinner because 1) Greg and I didn't want to battle the crowds and we didn't have a reso anyways and 2) I have heard horror stories about crappy service on V-Day at those kind of places. We decided to go to our favorite Chinese restaurant, House of Wah Sun and it was the perfect choice for us. We had egg foo young and chicken chow fun along with egg rolls, hot tea, almond and fortune cookies. It was tasty and the service was friendly. It did turn into Romper Room near the end when a family of five sat in the booth behind us with a screaming 2-year old but we were leaving anyways so no big deals :).

Ended the night at Majestic Star Casino and lost 20 bux. It was one of the best V-Days we have ever had!

I'm exhausted, how are you?

OMFG, it has been a loooong week! Today will be the 6th day in a row I work without a day off :p. The past few workdays have been rather hard on me, yesterday I had to go nearly four hours before they would send me on my break. My goth I thought I was gonna pass out, especially since I was feeling incredibly dizzy and tired due to a combination of the change in weather, humidity and possible blood sugar issues. I say possible cos I'm no doc and am not really sure if that is what caused me to feel dazed and confused last nite. I do know that after eating a sandwich and chocolate covered bavarian creme bismark I felt a hell of a lot better. Yeah, I'm so healthy :).

I'm so glad it's Thursday and [info]count_gregula is off work tonite! We are planning lunch out at Sweet Tomatoes in Glenview before I go to work this afternoon 3-7. I am also glad that I am going to be off the next two days, blessed relief!

Hmmmm...after work plans? Prolly will go to Golf Mill to see Paul Blart:Mall Cop and snack at Pita Inn.

Went to see Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino Monday afternoon and it was GREAT. I would say it is my new favorite movie and definately want to get it on DVD when it's time.

Tuesday I was on SCOT (Self Check Out Terminal) duty from 2-6. It was actually kinda boring until right before I had to leave when all the terminals went kablooie. I was very glad to see my relief!

Wednesday was fairly uneventful, worked Thursday then we went to the movies to see The Unborn which was kind of a disappointment. When I seen the previews a few weeks ago I was all excited for this movie cos it looked really scary but apparently all the best scenes were in the trailer :p. Greg and I did enjoy spotting the different Chicago locations it was filmed in.

Friday was no fun, we had no hot water for hours due to a burst pipe that we didn't know about til MUCH later. Then we were supposed to go to the Majestic Star Casino to get Greg's MLK/Obama coin that he was supposed to get back on Inauguration Day but they had ran out. Unfortunately Greg either lost or misplaced his state ID and we spent all of two hours looking for the damn thing. Finally we declared it LOST and just went to eat at Golden Apple where we were glad to see Bridget's friendly face :). Oh, we did make a stop beforehad at Supercuts so that G. could get his hairs cut because we planned to replace the ID on Saturday. The girl he had did a nice job but was a bit rough with the comb. However, I would say this is one of the better haircuts he has had in a long time :D.

Spent an exciting Saturday at the Niles DMV waiting an hour with about 87651654 other people to get G's ID replaced. Turns out that we didn't need to get his hair cut after all as the replacement ID had his original picture that they had on file. Oh well, he still looks cute ;). Then I had to rush and get some sammiches for lunch as I had to be at work at 1. Worked 1-5 SCOT duty, then we went to Majestic Star for a couple hours and picked up his coin. It's a pretty neat looking coin too, heavy and sealed in a protective plastic shield. Ate wings at Wings N' Things then brought him home so he could get ready for work.

Sunday night I worked. That's all I got.
